Getting ready

Today I will finish the last bit of formal homework - the final module, focused on Issue-Based Consulting...  The last few months of pre-work have been quite involving and I suspect it's only going to get more intense once the real work begins.  We received our Statements of Work (SOW) and matches to clients in Cebu City and I will be working w/ David Sagasti, a colleague based in Hungary (from Spain, via UK =o), on a Project Management Training engagement with the City Government Dept of Civil Engineering and Public Works.  Having the requirements in hand made the CSC assignment very real and jolted me back into getting ready mode...

My daughter reminded me earlier tonight that we still need to set up Skype and test it, and a few new butterflies joined the party in my stomach... have I thought thru everything she and the family will need, have I given her enough confidence that mom is always with her and there for her, no matter the distance...  She is one amazing little girl and will do great, I am sure!  Everything will be fine, and I will do my best to embrace the roller-coaster feeling... as I imagine it will only get tenser as I race to wrap up work commitments, gather materials for the assignment, go over various logistics, and of course pack...  before I embark on what promises to be a ride of a lifetime.  Can't wait!
